My Picks for Kickest Fantasy Serie A – Round 27

Let’s break down the five most interesting picks for the next Serie A and Kickest weekend.

A bad bout of flu forced us to miss our weekly appointment with the Round tips for Kickest, but now we’re back, more ready and focused than ever to try and uncover the surprises and the sure things of this 27th Serie A matchday!

I’m picking up the Fixture Ticker again as we choose the 5 transfers to make for this 27th Serie A and Kickest round!

Out Solet (Udinese), in Vojvoda (Como)

A muscle strain before the Bologna match, then recovery and a spot in the starting lineup—but the relapse has hit Oumar Solet, who will now be sidelined for at least two weeks. We look for and find his replacement in Fabregas’ Como: a “false” defender who now plays as a winger—Mergim Vojvoda. He even scored against Juventus and is now used by his coach as an advanced wide player or, in a three-man defense, as a wing-back, which is perhaps his preferred role. His versatility has surprisingly made him one of Como’s key players.

Out Frese (Verona), in Valeri (Parma)

We tried to give Verona another chance after the coaching change, but unfortunately the team still seems unable to bounce back. After the heavy defeat against Sassuolo, we’ve decided to part ways with Frese and welcome Emanuele Valeri into the squad. The Parma wing-back is coming off a decisive assist for Troilo’s goal at San Siro against Milan, and in general he has consistently been one of the main sources of dangerous chances for Cuesta’s team.

Out Martin (Genoa), in Parisi (Fiorentina)

After a solid home win against Torino, Genoa are preparing to face an Inter side wounded in pride after their Champions League elimination. It won’t be an easy match, so we prefer to replace Aaron Martin and make room for one of the Fiorentina’s standout players over the past month: Fabiano Parisi. The reasoning is very similar to the one for Vojvoda—he too is often used as an attacking winger, although with the arrivals of Solomon and Harrison he has dropped slightly deeper. Moreover, our Fixture Ticker suggests taking advantage of Fiorentina’s favorable schedule in the coming rounds.

Out McTominay (Napoli), in Nico Paz (Como)

The injury picked up against Genoa continues to keep Scott McTominay out for Napoli, in a season increasingly marked by constant physical setbacks for Conte’s players. To replace him, we have to go with a sure thing: Nico Paz. Paradoxically, in what has been the “worst” spell of his season, the Argentine is looking for redemption and a return to bonus points against Lecce, in a match that feels very much like a “maturity test” for Fabregas’ side.

Out Lautaro (Inter), in Hojlund (Napoli)

As one Napoli player leaves us, another joins. To replace the injured Lautaro Martinez, we’re choosing Rasmus Hojlund. The Danish striker has scored seven league goals, but only across five matches. Despite that, he remains one of Napoli’s best performers this season and, also considering the Fixture Ticker, we’re backing him for the next few weeks as well.
