My Picks for Kickest Fantasy Serie A — Round 4
After a rough Round 2 and a shaky Round 3, it’s time to reset. Here are the 5 transfers I’ve made for Round 4 on Kickest, hoping to turn things around and climb the ranks again.
The intent was to avoid the arduous task of doing worse than in Round 2 and (partly) we managed. Admin 1 doesn’t think so, but there was some office drama about the choice of Tramoni. Let’s try to calm things down because there’s already talk of an early sacking.
As we were saying. We trusted Tramoni and a Pisa side that couldn’t break through the Solet–Kristensen wall, even though Sava tried to give us a hand in the first half. Parma played a good match in Cagliari, but Bernabé and Pellegrino failed to make an impact thanks to a superb Caprile, while we left Suzuki on the bench since his 7.20 FPT was only 0.50 lower than Carnesecchi.
In short, a turning point is needed. Fixture Ticker in hand, here are the 5 transfers for this Round as we try to steer this rocky start!
Out Provstgaard (Lazio) → In Miranda (Bologna)
It was a great intuition in Round 2 with 18.40 FPT in the 4-0 against Verona, but then came the bench vs Sassuolo and also in our squad: goodbye Provstgaard, welcome Juan Miranda. The move costs me 2.8 credits. The Spanish full-back of Bologna had a poor start: 0 minutes vs Roma, 8 vs Como, and 28 vs Milan. It looks like a gamble (because it is), but we hope against Genoa he can return to the starting XI and deliver some good plays.
Out Hien (Atalanta) → In Dumfries (Inter)
Gambles are fine, but we also need some certainties (as much as that’s possible with all these fixtures). So here’s Denzel Dumfries joining the team. The Dutchman faces Sassuolo, Inter’s bogey team that just added Nemanja Matic in midfield. But Dumfries did score in the last meeting at San Siro. Out goes Hien, with Atalanta coming off a Champions League hammering by PSG and now at risk against Torino, who look re-energized under Baroni.
Out Tramoni (Pisa) → In Elmas (Napoli)
We said it at the start: Pisa and Tramoni disappointed in their home match against Udinese, and now they face an almost impossible trip to Napoli. That’s why we’re dropping the Pisa number 10 for Eljif Elmas, who could well occupy the same area of the pitch — but in the opposing team. After Champions League fatigue, Conte is sure to rotate, and we think the Macedonian will get minutes, perhaps replacing a midfield star (De Bruyne?). With creativity and flair, this could be a winning gamble.
Out Yildiz (Juventus) → In Bonny (Inter)
A goal vs Inter, a goal and an assist in the Champions League vs Dortmund — and so, of course, we decide to drop Kenan Yildiz. Calm down, we’ll explain. He looked exhausted in the final minutes against Dortmund. Normal after two such intense matches in four days. We believe Tudor might rest some players in Verona, including Yildiz. And on Kickest, racking up stats is harder when you don’t start.
But who replaces him? Because of previous moves that ate into our credits, we had to get creative: enter Ange-Yoan Bonny. The logic is the reverse of Yildiz: after a brace and 90 minutes against Ajax, Thuram could be rotated, leaving space for the ex-Parma striker. This also saves us 7.5 credits, cutting down on transfer costs.
Out Juric (Atalanta) → In Italiano (Bologna)
As mentioned when analyzing the Hien–Dumfries move, Atalanta might struggle away to Torino. So we let go of Ivan Juric (9.5 cr) and bring in Vincenzo Italiano (9.1 cr). Bologna had a tough start (Roma–Como–Milan) and struggled to hit the target (just 4 shots on goal, last in Serie A), but now have some more favorable fixtures. Fingers crossed: this pick will have to last a few Rounds.
My Round 4 Squad on Kickest
Fixing the disaster of Round 2 is tough, but I hope these choices will help me get back on track — as long as I don’t get carried away with last-minute changes. Good luck to all Fantasy Managers: see you before Round 5, hopefully higher up in the standings!
