The Opening Tournament Is Here: Kickest’s First Seasonal Tournament
The third Serie A round marks the start of Kickest’s first Seasonal Tournament: the Opening Tournament.
A new challenge is about to begin on Kickest.
The 3rd Serie A round is just around the corner, and with it comes one of the biggest new features of the 2026/27 Kickest season: the Opening Tournament.
After the first two matchdays spent getting to grips with the game, adapting to this season’s new additions, the Scoring System changes and the new transfer system, it’s finally time to take on another major new feature of the Kickest season for the first time.
We’ve been talking about it in the weeks leading up to the start of the league, and now the time has finally come to take the field. From Round 3 to Round 11, all Kickest users will have the chance to compete to win the first of the four Seasonal Tournaments of the season.
So, with the Opening Tournament just around the corner, let’s get ready for the new challenge with our Round 3 preview, featuring tips, picks and everything you need to know ahead of the upcoming round.
You’re already in the Opening Tournament
Just like the overall leaderboard, registration for the Seasonal Tournaments is automatic. Once you create your team, you’re already in. There are no sign-ups, codes or leagues to join: start playing and you’re automatically competing in the Opening Tournament.
And most importantly, each tournament is completely independent.
Your position in the overall leaderboard doesn’t matter, nor does your performance in the other Seasonal Tournaments or in the Kickest Cup, which will instead start from Round 6.
Did you get off to a bad start this season? No problem: the Opening Tournament gives you the chance to start from scratch and compete for a brand-new prize.
Four tournaments, four chances to win
The new format divides the season into four independent competitions:
- Opening Tournament — Round 3 to 11
- Autumn Tournament — Round 12 to 20
- Winter Tournament — Round 21 to 29
- Closing Tournament — Round 30 to 38

Each Seasonal Tournament will have its own leaderboard and will represent a new opportunity to compete against every other Kickest user.
And between tournaments… free transfers! 🔄
To coincide with the start of each new tournament, free transfer windows will be available, allowing you to make unlimited transfers completely free of charge. No -5 point penalty per transfer: during these windows, you can completely overhaul your team at no cost.
The windows will be available between:
- Round 11 and Round 12
- Round 20 and Round 21
- Round 29 and Round 30
It’s the perfect opportunity to change your strategy, fix the mistakes made in the previous tournament and get your team ready for the start of the next competition — while also giving yourself a chance to make up ground in the Overall leaderboard!
A €150 Amazon gift card up for grabs 🎁
And there’s another reason to give it your all. This year, prizes are back on Kickest, and the Seasonal Tournaments are no exception:
Each Seasonal Tournament puts a €150 Amazon gift card up for grabs.
And it’s not just the Seasonal Tournaments: all competitions come with incredible prizes — the Kickest Cup, the Tournaments, the Match Predictor, the overall leaderboard, and even a small individual prize for the Best Seasonal Score. All contributing to a huge total prize pool.
Where can you find the Opening Tournament?
Participation is automatic, but where can you check your position?
It’s simple: the Seasonal Tournaments are available directly from your team’s Home screen.
Once you click on “Seasonal Tournament”, you’ll be taken to the dedicated page, where you can check both the tournament’s overall leaderboard and the round leaderboard.
