Kickest 2026/27: the new Scoring System
One of the biggest new features for the 2026/27 Kickest season is the updated Scoring System, with new statistics and a more balanced Fantasy Points system.
For the 2026/27 season, we’ve updated the Kickest Scoring System with one clear goal: to reward players’ performances even more accurately and make Fantasy Points (FPT) an even better reflection of what actually happens on the pitch.
Overall, Fantasy Points will be around 20% higher than last season, giving greater value to all the actions that contribute to a player’s performance.

๐ New metrics to better reward performances
Among the biggest changes:
- Assists are now worth +5 FPT, while Big Chances Created are rewarded separately with +2.5 FPT. This means that a player who creates a Big Chance that results in an assist can now earn up to +7.5 FPT, giving even more value to the quality of the play.
- Forwards are the players who benefit the most from the new system. In addition to giving more value to their attacking contribution, we’ve introduced points for touches in the opponent’s penalty area and reduced the penalty for failed passes (-0.1 instead of -0.2 FPT). The goal is to better reward players who consistently create danger, even in matches where they don’t score.
We’ve also introduced several other changes affecting every position, from goalkeepers and defenders to the new appearance and starter bonus system.
Now let’s take a closer look at each change.
โจ Appearance and Starter Bonus: What’s Changed
Let’s start with one of the biggest updates to the Scoring System: how appearance and starting bonuses are awarded.
Last season, the two bonuses were mutually exclusive:
- +5 FPT for starting the match
- +2.5 FPT for coming on as a substitute
This often penalized substitute players, who not only started with a smaller bonus but also had fewer minutes to accumulate statistics.
From this season onwards, the system changes.
Every player who takes the fieldโwhether as a starter or substituteโearns +4 FPT for making an appearance.
Players in the starting lineup receive an additional +2 FPT.
| Event | FPT |
| Appears on the pitch | +4 |
| Starter | +2 |
This means:
- a substitute receives +4 FPT;
- a starter begins with +6 FPT.
This change narrows the gap between starters and substitutes while still rewarding players selected in the starting XI.
๐ฏ Assists and Big Chances Created
From this season, assists are worth +5 FPT instead of +7. But before you worry, there’s something new.
We’ve introduced Big Chance Created (+2.5 FPT), a statistic that rewards passes putting a teammate in an ideal position to score.
In practice:
| Event | FPT |
| Assist | +5 |
| Big Chance Created | +2.5 |
| Assist + Big Chance Created | +7.5 |
Why this change?
Not all assists are equal.
There’s a clear difference between a pass that leaves a teammate one-on-one with the goalkeeper and a simple pass followed by a spectacular long-range finish or an individual moment of brilliance.
With this change, we want to distinguish assists that genuinely create a major scoring opportunity from those that occur in very different situations.
There’s another important aspect too: a player who creates a huge chance will still be rewarded even if the teammate misses the opportunity.
In other words, creating a great chance remains valuable regardless of how the move ends.
โฝ Forwards become more valuable
This season we’ve introduced two changes aimed primarily at forwards. We’ve added Touches in the Opponent’s Penalty Area, a statistic available for every outfield player.
| Event | FPT |
| Opposition Box Touch | +0.3 |
We also reduced the penalty for failed passes only for forwards, from -0.2 to -0.1 FPT.This is because forwards naturally touch the ball less often than players in other positions, meaning they accumulate fewer statistics throughout a match.
| Position | Failed Pass |
| Forwards | -0.1 |
| All other positions | -0.2 |
The objective is to make their average Fantasy score more balanced without simply increasing the value of goals.
This change also contributes to increasing average Fantasy scores by around 20% compared to last season.
๐งค Goalkeeper Updates
The penalty for goals conceded has also changed. From this season:
| Event | FPT |
| Goal conceded from inside the penalty area | -2 |
| Goal conceded from outside the penalty area | -3 |
This better reflects the different difficulty of saving shots from different areas of the pitch. The defender penalty remains unchanged:
-1 FPT for every goal conceded while the defender is on the pitch.
๐ก๏ธ More value for defensive actions
Finally, we’ve introduced Last Man Tackle (+3 FPT), a new statistic that rewards decisive last-ditch defensive interventions. This bonus applies to all outfield players.
Last Man Tackle: +3 FPT
A crucial intervention in a dangerous situation can now have a meaningful impact on a player’s final Fantasy score.
