My Picks for Kickest Fantasy Serie A – Round 28
Let’s break down the five most interesting picks for the next Serie A and Kickest weekend.
Some choices worked out well (Højlund), others didn’t (Valeri), and there were also a few disappointments like Nico Paz. Our weekend turned a dark shade of grey, and we’re hoping to bounce back in this 28th round of Serie A and Kickest.
I’m once again arming myself with the Fixture Ticker as we choose the five changes to make for Matchday 28 of Serie A and Kickest!
Out Corvi (Parma), in Milinković-Savić (Napoli)
The first change concerns the goalkeeper position. We say goodbye to a bet that paid off a few months ago, when we decided to back Edoardo Corvi after he became Parma’s starter due to Suzuki’s injury. Today we welcome Vanja Milinković-Savić, as the schedule suggests two or three “easier” matches in a row for Napoli.
Out Palestra (Cagliari), in Tavares (Lazio)
Let me say in advance that we had quite a bit of trouble deciding who to drop for this round. The first is Marco Palestra, who—according to our Fixture Ticker—will face Como and Napoli in the next three matches. In his place we bring in one of the season’s big disappointments, who has shown signs of improvement in recent weeks, something his coach has also highlighted publicly. We’re talking about Nuno Tavares, who should return to the starting lineup in the match against Sassuolo.
Out Atta (Udinese), in Solomon (Fiorentina)
Another difficult goodbye. Not for the first time this season we part ways with Arthur Atta, who unfortunately hasn’t lived up to our expectations. In comes another semi-gamble: Manor Solomon. After arriving at Fiorentina in January, he quickly secured a starting spot, with a fantasy average of 20.08 FPT over the last five matchdays. Against Parma, it’s a must-win game for the Viola, and his unpredictability could prove decisive.
Out Pellegrino (Parma), in Yıldız (Juventus)
Another farewell to a “historic” member of our team who has been with us for most of the season—one of our favorites: Mateo Pellegrino. Replacing him is a familiar face making a comeback, also suggested by the Fixture Ticker, which highlights how Juventus, after a tough January–February run, now faces a softer stretch of fixtures. So we welcome back Kenan Yıldız, who against Pisa could return to scoring in the league, something he hasn’t done since the match against Napoli.
Out Italiano (Bologna), in Grosso (Sassuolo)
After more than three months, we’re also changing our coach. We say goodbye to Vincenzo Italiano, who has brought us both joy and frustration, and welcome one of the surprises of this season: Fabio Grosso. His Sassuolo side is now clearly recognizable in style and no longer a surprise. As a newly promoted team, they’ve done even better than Como had at this point last season. Our Fixture Ticker shows that the Neroverdi will face Lazio and Bologna next, so this choice also carries the characteristics of a difficult but fascinating gamble. We’ll see next week whether it turns out to be a winning move or not.
