My Picks for Kickest Fantasy Serie A – Round 24
Let’s break down the five most interesting picks for the next Serie A and Kickest weekend.
Round 24 of Serie A and Kickest is knocking at the door!
So let’s open the doors to the five players who could make or break our gameweek (for better or worse).
It’s also the weekend of Milan–Como, which has been postponed to February 18th due to the unavailability of San Siro, currently in use for the Olympics. You can find Kickest’s official handling of the case here.
Once again, it’s time to arm ourselves with the Fixture Ticker and choose the five transfers to make for Round 24 of Serie A and Kickest.
Out: Alex Valle (Como), In: Frese (Verona)
The first move of the gameweek involves one of the players who will be “resting” on Kickest this weekend due to the postponement of Milan–Como. We therefore say goodbye to Alex Valle and replace him with a low-cost gamble that gives us an alternative in Tier 1: Martin Frese.
The Danish wing-back has shown some positive flashes, especially his goal at the Maradona against Napoli, and he should start again under new coach Paolo Sammarco.
Out: Kelly (Juventus), In: Solet (Udinese)
The Coppa Italia defeat against Atalanta came like a bolt from the blue. At the most positive moment of Juventus’ season, few expected a 3–0 loss. Could this result undermine some of the Bianconeri’s confidence? The risk is there, especially with a tough match against Lazio coming up.
For this reason, we replace Lloyd Kelly with Oumar Solet. The Udinese defender is now a solid Serie A certainty and, against Lecce, he could also push forward on occasion — a trademark of his skill set. On top of that, our Fixture Ticker highlights a favorable run of matches for Udinese in the coming weeks.
Out: Norton-Cuffy (Genoa), In: Bernasconi (Atalanta)
Napoli doesn’t bring back good memories for Brooke Norton-Cuffy, who was sent off in the last meeting. We therefore decide to replace him with another pleasant surprise of this season: Lorenzo Bernasconi.
The Atalanta wing-back didn’t start brilliantly, much like the team as a whole, but gradually gained confidence and consistency. He is now fully part of Palladino’s rotation and may even be considered more of a starter than others.
Out: Nico Paz (Como), In: K. Thuram (Juventus)
The same reasoning applied to Alex Valle also applies to Nico Paz. The Argentine star will be “resting” on Kickest due to the postponement of Milan–Como. We therefore replace him — not without hesitation — with Képhren Thuram.
The French midfielder started slowly under Spalletti, but in recent weeks he has shown exponential growth. Goals are still missing from his game, but his forward runs have clearly become more frequent in recent matches.
Out: Thorstvedt (Sassuolo), In: Atta (Udinese)
Arthur is back home!
For Matchday 24 of Serie A, we decided to bring back one of our former favorites, who was with us for much of the first season: Arthur Atta.
The Udinese midfielder went through a difficult period between mid-November and mid-January, with some criticism from his coach regarding his attitude. Over the past couple of weeks, however, he seems to have rediscovered both form and the right mindset. Making room for him is Kristian Thorstvedt.
