My Picks for Kickest Fantasy Serie A – Round 16
It’s Super Cup weekend: four matches out of ten have been postponed, and players from eight teams will be considered “rested” on Kickest. With limited choices available, let’s make our five transfers for Round 16 of Kickest and Serie A.
Welcome back to all our Fantasy Serie A Manager to our usual weekly appointment with Tips for the new Kickest matchday. This weekend will be very special, due to the Super Cup being played at the same time in Saudi Arabia. As many as four matches out of ten have been postponed, involving eight teams: Milan, Inter, Napoli, Bologna, Lecce, Como, Parma, and Verona. Choices are therefore limited, but we will still try to do our best.
I’m back with my Fixture Ticker, and let’s pick the five transfers to make for this 16th Serie A and Kickest matchday!
If you have any doubts about how the scores of players from postponed matches are handled — players who will be considered “rested” on Kickest — you can find all the relevant information here.
Out Dimarco (Inter), in Gila (Lazio)
We start by replacing a rested player: Federico Dimarco. In the match against Genoa, he didn’t even play, with Carlos Augusto starting instead. For this particular weekend, we’re going for a guaranteed starter who is becoming more and more of a key player for his team: Mario Gila. The Spanish defender is now a certainty for Lazio and for the league, solid and tough, but also capable of chipping in with the occasional goal.
Out Tiago Gabriel (Lecce), in Palestra (Cagliari)
Another “postponement-related” transfer in our squad. After two excellent performances, we say goodbye to Tiago Gabriel of Lecce and welcome back Marco Palestra. The Cagliari wing-back is no longer a surprise, so much so that there is already talk of interest from top clubs and even the national team. We had him for just one matchday, as our Fixture Ticker warned us about a tough run of fixtures. For the same reason, today we bring him back to keep him for at least two weeks.
Out Bisseck (Inter), in Muharemovic (Sassuolo)
Here we are with the last Super Cup-related change. Yann-Aurel Bisseck delivered a great score for us, also thanks to his goal against Genoa, but now he makes way for another pleasant surprise of this season: Tarik Muharemovic. Sassuolo are back in Serie A as if they had never left — once again an impeccable project from the Neroverdi, always focused on talented youngsters, but also featuring experienced players like Matic and Berardi. The Bosnian defender is standing out and deserves a chance in our lineup as well!
Out Basic (Lazio), in McKennie (Juventus)
The red card received in Parma forces us to part ways with Toma Basic as well. In his place, we pick Weston McKennie, now a reliable option for Juventus even under Spalletti. Moreover, after the excellent win in Bologna, the Bianconeri will be looking to confirm their form against Roma and keep fighting for a Champions League spot. In matches like these, the American is no stranger to scoring crucial goals, thanks to his late runs into the box. In a game expected to be tight between two defensively solid teams (especially Roma), a set piece or a well-timed run could prove decisive.
Out Kean (Fiorentina), in Castellanos (Lazio)
Another missed opportunity, an increasingly difficult situation — we had said it: let’s give Kean and Fiorentina one last chance, but we were not rewarded. At this point, it’s better to avoid Viola players. So we replace Moise with another striker who has been without goals and strong performances for a while: Valentín Castellanos. Lazio come off a heroic 9-man victory away at Parma and will be looking for continuity, possibly with a strong performance, against Cremonese.
My team for round 15 on Kickest
