Supercoppa: What Happens on Kickest

The Italian Supercoppa will reduce the upcoming Serie A gameweek. Find out how postponed matches are handled on Kickest and what it means for your fantasy team.

The upcoming Serie A round will be a reduced gameweek, with four matches missing due to the Italian Supercoppa, which will be played between Thursday the 18th and Monday the 22nd in Saudi Arabia, featuring Inter, Bologna, Milan and Napoli. Let’s clarify what will happen on Kickest.

The New Supercoppa Format

For the past couple of seasons, the Italian Supercoppa has been played in a four-team format, featuring the first and second placed teams from the previous Serie A season—in this case Napoli and Inter—and the two Coppa Italia finalists, Milan and Bologna.
This format includes two semifinals in addition to the final. This year’s semifinals are Napoli vs Milan, scheduled for Thursday the 18th at 8:00 PM, and Bologna vs Inter, scheduled for Friday the 19th at 8:00 PM. The two winners will face each other in the final on Monday the 22nd.

As a result of this format, the league matches involving these teams will be postponed. Inter–Lecce and Napoli–Parma will be played on Wednesday, January 14, while Verona–Bologna and Como–Milan will take place on Thursday, January 15.

What Happens on Kickest

So how should this situation be handled on Kickest? The postponed matches will not be “waited for.” Instead, all players from the teams involved—
Inter, Milan, Napoli, Bologna, Parma, Verona, Lecce and Como
will receive their average score (On Kickest, a player’s average score is simply the total of the points he has scored across all gameweeks, divided by the number of gameweeks played.).

You can find this value on each player’s page, under the FPT section, as shown in the image below.

Please note that all players from the teams involved will receive their average score, including those who are suspended or injured. In addition, they will be considered as having played in Turn 1 (T1), meaning it will not be possible, for example, to add Nico Paz on Sunday morning before the start of T2, as he will already be considered as having played.

Important: it is possible to select a “resting” player as captain for the round, but in this case the x1.5 multiplier does NOT apply.

So, dear fantasy managers, it will be up to you to decide whether to keep some high-average players as a “safety net,” or to use your five transfers to go all in on players who will actually take the field this coming weekend.
