My Picks for Kickest Fantasy Serie A – Round 11
After some excellent picks in the last two rounds — like Castro, Zaccagni, and Cambiaso — we’re back to thinking about the five changes to make for this new Kickest and Serie A gameweek.
The weekend is back, and as usual, so are our five recommended names for a new Kickest round. In recent weeks, we’ve made some lucky and forward-thinking picks — Castro, Zaccagni, and our wildcard Cambiaso under Spalletti’s magic touch. Now, we’re aiming for some consistency in this final round before the international break.
Time to grab my trusty Fixture Ticker again and pick the five moves to make for Serie A round 11 on Kickest!
Out: Muric (Sassuolo), In: Semper (Pisa)
It’s been a while since we changed our goalkeeper, but it’s time for a breath of fresh air. Sassuolo are entering a very tricky run of fixtures — after their trip to Bergamo to face Atalanta, they’ll host Pisa, kicking off a brutal five-match stretch. To replace him, we’re looking for someone with a softer schedule, as our Fixture Ticker suggests: Adrian Semper from Pisa. The Nerazzurri haven’t yet secured their first three points, despite some strong performances against tougher opponents. The key stat, however, is that they’ve conceded only two goals at home (even if they haven’t scored there yet). That’s why we’re betting on the Croatian keeper as a low-cost T1 alternative. Plus, this move frees up some credits that’ll come in handy later.
Out: Fortini (Fiorentina), In: Belghali (Verona)
We had to choose between him and Norton-Cuffy, with Genoa and Fiorentina facing each other this week. In the end, we’re saying goodbye to Niccolò Fortini — one of the few bright spots amid Fiorentina’s chaos — but again, our Fixture Ticker tells us that Fiorentina have a tougher schedule than Genoa. To replace him, we’re bringing in a winger from Verona, another side still winless: Rafik Belghali. His Kickest average isn’t great (5.67 FPT), but anyone who’s watched Hellas play has noticed his pace and potential. Verona are about to play three very winnable games, and maybe their first victory will come from that stretch. We’re placing a small bet on Belghali!
Out: Kone (Sassuolo), In: Vandeputte (Cremonese)
Just one appearance in our team for Ismael Kone — and not a good one, just like the rest of Sassuolo against Genoa. With their tough schedule, we’re looking for an alternative, ideally a T1 midfielder, which our lineup lacks. Since we’re planning a big move up front, we can’t spend too much here, so Jari Vandeputte fits the bill perfectly. A guaranteed starter, set-piece taker, and the beating heart of Nicola’s team in both attack and defense. He’s already collected 4 assists (no goals yet), but his performances have been consistently solid.
Out: Samardzic (Atalanta), In: Kostic (Juventus)
Lazar Samardzic’s stunning Champions League goal on Wednesday didn’t change our minds. The Atalanta we saw in Udine had big issues — especially up front. Plus, the Serbian isn’t a guaranteed starter, and his replacement actually saves us nearly 3 credits. Ironically, the player replacing him is also Serbian: Filip Kostic. Another one rejuvenated under Spalletti, he seems to have nailed down the left flank, especially with Cambiaso now playing on the opposite side. He already scored against Cremonese, though his specialty has always been assists — a stat still showing zero so far. Could that change in Saturday’s derby?
Out: Zaccagni (Lazio), In: Lautaro (Inter)
We picked him two rounds ago, and he rewarded us with a late goal against Cagliari in round 10. Thanks, Mattia Zaccagni — but we need to make a big sacrifice to bring in a top-tier forward. Enter Lautaro Martínez, Inter’s captain. Things haven’t been at their brightest lately, and maybe that’s exactly why we’re tempted to back him now — especially with Lazio and Milan coming up. Despite the dry spell, Lautaro remains fully committed, scoring in the Champions League and keeping his trademark intensity and leadership. However, it’s been over a month since his last league goal (October 4th vs Cagliari). Could this be the week he ends the drought? The fixtures may look tough, but the Argentine actually has a great record against both Lazio and Milan: 6 goals and 2 assists in 13 games against the Biancocelesti, and 9 goals plus 4 assists in 20 derbies.
