My Picks for Kickest Fantasy Serie A – Round 8
Here are the 5 transfers I’ve made for Round 8 on Kickest, hoping to turn things around and climb the ranks again.
After a two-week break for reflection — too many disappointments lately — we’re back to looking for some interesting names for the next week-end! For now, let’s not think about the standings, but just take it one Sunday at a time.
I’m picking up my beloved Fixture Ticker again (I really missed you!) and we’re going to choose the 5 transfers to make for this 7th Serie A and Kickest round!
Out: Spinazzola (Napoli) – In: Norton-Cuffy (Genoa)
Napoli have looked quite fragile and still seem to be adjusting after the transfer window changes and the many injuries. On Saturday at the Maradona, they’ll face an Inter side that looks the complete opposite — confident and solid.
So we say goodbye to Spinazzola, still one of Napoli’s best performers, and welcome Brooke Norton-Cuffy. One of the few bright spots in Genoa’s start to the season, he’s even been used as a winger by Vieira, with most of Genoa’s (few) attacking plays going through him. He’s a good T3 option, and Genoa’s upcoming fixtures look favorable too.
Out: McTominay (Napoli) – In: Modrić (Milan)
We’re changing the big name in our midfield. We say goodbye to Scott McTominay, who was Napoli’s best player in the Eindhoven defeat thanks to his brace, despite not being fully fit.
We make room for Luka Modrić, who plays in T1 at home against Pisa. So far, he’s been excellent in every match — the true leader of Milan — with an average FPT on Kickest of 17.97. We’re betting on the former Ballon d’Or winner.
Out: Bernabé (Parma) – In: Folorunsho (Cagliari)
Parma’s number 10 has been a mainstay, partly due to their easy schedule so far — though it hasn’t translated into results for Cuesta’s team. So we say goodbye to Adrian Bernabé and welcome Michael Folorunsho.
Even though he hasn’t scored yet this season, the former Napoli midfielder is a key player for Cagliari. Used by Pisacane as a hybrid right midfielder/winger, could he find his first goal of the season — and do it against his former club, Verona, where he first made a name for himself?
Out: Pellegrino (Parma) – In: Yildiz (Juventus)
For Mateo Pellegrino, it’s the same reasoning as Bernabé: after several rounds together, it’s time to part ways.
In his place, we bring back Kenan Yildiz — we simply can’t ignore Juventus’s number 10, especially with their upcoming fixtures. The Bianconeri need to bounce back from a rough patch, and much of that hope rests on the Turkish player’s shoulders.
Out: Giovane (Verona) – In: Davis (Udinese)
We picked Giovane for the match against Sassuolo, which ended in a 0–0 draw. Now we’ll let him go and bring in Keinan Davis.
With two strikers in T3, we need at least one T2 option to stay covered. Udinese host Lecce in a match where they’re favorites and eager to win after a run of 5 games with just one victory. Davis didn’t start against Cremonese, but since Bayo didn’t impress, Runjaic could give Davis the nod from the first minute again.
